Serra Negra is the central part of the island and the most hilly. The mountain is composed by warm rocks, oranges and browns. In the east side, it looks like if it lacks vegetation, where it is surrounded by the dessert. In the west side, next to the ocean, you will see splendid beaches. The mountain has an elevation of 96 meters above the sea level and offers a panoramic view of the most of the island. This is a good place to see the island from the heights.
