Espargos

It is the capital and the centre of Sal, only 2 km from the Amílcar Cabral International Airport. Here you will find an area of restaurants, stores of African craft and places to spend the night. The name ‘Espargos’ is because of the wild asparagus bushes that are said to grow here. Today it has a population of about 6000 to 8000 inhabitants.
